    Genuine Happiness Comes from Within

    Filed under: Articles, Happiness;

    Sometimes, when the world just seems too heavy, you look around and find people who continue to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then you wonder, How come they always seem so happy?  How come they still can manage to laugh and play despite a busy stressful life?

    So, how does one become genuinely happy?

    The first step is to love yourself.  Loving yourself means to accept who you truly are.

    Genuine happiness means being content and grateful in the moment.  When you are content with who you are and what you now have, that opens the door for more joy, peace and happiness.

    Start looking within and stop waiting for things to be perfect before you can be happy.  If you can be grateful right now, you will find more peace, joy and happiness than you imagined.  If you look for external circumstances to make you feel joy, you will never be able to find genuine happiness.

    I believe that life is about living on purpose.  You decide what kind of life you want…whether you want to feel joy or sadness.  It’s all up to you.  There are so many people waiting to have more money, waiting to get married, and whole list of other stuff before they can be happy.

    Everyone has their own definition of happiness, but I can tell you that genuine happiness isn’t about driving the hottest car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest pay, or beating the sales quota.  Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life doesn’t always go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or the smartest.  In my experience, I found that the prize usually goes to the person with a great personality bubbling over with joy.

    You don’t have to have the best of everything in this world. Its about doing and making the best out of every single thing right now. When you learn to accept and love yourself, you start to feel that sense of peace and joy.  For as long as you love and know how to love, you will receive love and happiness ten folds back.

    Throw me that same question “how to become genuinely happy?”  I’ll refer you to this quote- “Most of us know that laughter is the best medicine to life’s aches and pain. But most of us don’t know that the best kind of laughter is laughter over self.
