What Everybody Ought To Know About The Secret
Filed under: Articles;No CommentsI’m sure many people are aware that the movie, The Secret, is sweeping through the personal development arena a little like a tsunami wave. And, not only has this film presented some important knowledge for how the world works, but it has provided us with the principles of creation.
In a way, it’s creation with a twist because more than ever before, the principle of personal responsibility can no longer be ignored. Being made aware of the Law of Attraction implies we create our reality,we attract what we put out into the world.
The Secret movie has opened new doors for some and created a greater awareness in others. It has generated much excitement and unfolded a sense of possibility, engendered hope and provoked many questions.
And for me, this movie caused a flow of events that I could not possibly have foreseen culminating in my creating an e-book entitled Inside The Secret. This book explores this movie in depth and contains many of its hidden messages.
You see, I found my first hidden message quite by accident, or perhaps you could call it synchronicity. The timing was perfect!
After I’d seen the movie I felt inspired and immediately logged onto the internet to research some more. I went to the official secret site and found a downloadable visualization I could use on a daily basis.
Strangely enough after several weeks into my daily visualizing, I noticed a reverse button on my media player. Being a Reverse Speech practitioner I couldn’t resist playing backwards the only words uttered in this brief visualization by a powerful looking genie, and they were: “Your wish is my command”. Now this sentence when played backwards says clearly: “Sometimes you shall wait”.
So, what does this mean? What the unconscious mind of the actor playing the role of the genie teaches us is that even though you may ask the Universe for what you want and do all the right things, it doesn’t come immediately, sometimes you shall wait. And to me what it speaks of is a divine timing — when you are truly ready, then it will appear; you are in perfect alignment with your desire.
We are being told here, at an unconscious level, to be patient, to be aware of divine timing; to understand no matter how impatient we become, how much we stamp our feet with frustration, how much we beg, it will happen when it is appropriate.
This example just like the many presented in my book Inside The Secret helps all seekers gain profound insight into Universal law and learn a deeper understanding of these self help principles. Not only that but this expanded awareness will boost your creative abilities and maybe allow you to just relax a little about life.
Now I found these profound messages through using a contemporary mind technology known as Reverse Speech. This method of analyzing speech exposes the unconscious messages behind speech which occur at the same time as we speak. A bit like a telephone to the Higher Self or Soul.

Five Secrets to Continued Success

Thick Skin: you cannot be easily offended or hurt if you want to be successful. There will always be people who are jealous or envious or out to bring someone else down you must develop a way to see past that and let it roll off your back, like water off a duck’s back.
Ducks have feathers that are tight and their density act like oil, it keeps the duck dry and warm. So when water (cold or otherwise) lands on the back of a duck, it simply rolls off. Let criticism roll off your back in a similar manner, because if you are going to be successful, you will have your share of criticism. Count on it.
Obedience: although this might seem strange to talk about to adults and not children, it is important to consider that in order to be a leader, you must first learn how to obey a leader. You must learn the principle of loyalty to a leader if you want to lead others.
Once you have learned how to obey and to follow directions, you can lead others and understand what commands and orders do for an organization and an individual. Consider this: 175 of the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies are former US Marines, and 27 US Presidents served in the military.
Courage: bravery is not courage, but you cannot have courage without being brave. Courage is the moral fortitude to stand up for your character (touched on in the last article) and to do the right thing—even in the face of adversity.
When you have courage, you follow through on your vision. It’s on display every day and only the courageous have the ability to get the most out of life. When you have the strength of your conviction, find the courage to put it in to action. You won’t be sorry you did.
Intolerance: not exactly what you might expect to find in an article about success, but each of us must be intolerant of any number of things: intolerant of abuse, of injustice, of the things that you know are immoral, unethical, or illegal. If there’s anything in this world you should be intolerant of, those are some of them. I hope you are an intolerant person in the right way.
Sense of Humour: if you don’t have a sense of humour, you will fall flat on your face and never be someone who succeeds. A good portion of the road we walk to success is filled with blockades and potholes. If you come up against one and go down, you must have the ability to laugh at the situation and yourself. If you don’t, you will be angry and bitter about your misfortune and never move past it. Laugh at yourself and what you run up against and you’ll find your climb to the top is quicker and more enjoyable than you thought it would be.

How To Increase Your Mind Power

There are little “tricks” that can give you an immediate brainpower boost, and habits you can develop for a more permanent improvement in brain function. Here are six things you can try right now or over the coming days to prove to yourself that improved mind power is possible.
Exercise Helps The Brain
Long term exercise can boost brainpower, which isn’t surprising. Anything that affects physical health in a positive way probably helps the brain too. Recent research, though, shows that cognitive function is improved immediately after just ten minutes of aerobic exercise. If you need a brain recharge, walk up and down the stairs a few times.
Temperature And Mind Power
Many people have noted that they think better at certain temperatures. In general, it seems that being slightly cool, but not uncomfortable, is most conducive to good thinking. Try experimenting on yourself to see what temperature works best for you.
Become A Problem Solver
Just use a problem solving technique for several weeks and it will become a habit. Redesign everything you see for a while, and that will become a habit. Choose any of the many problem solving techniques and train yourself to use it, and you’ll have a more powerful mind. Many good thinking habits take some effort to develop, but then you will be more resourceful effortlessly from that point on. Use the power of habit to improve your mind power.
Develop Your Intuition
Einstein relied heavily on intuitive hunches. Because of his intuitive grasp of the game, Gary Kasparov can beat the best chess computer even though the computer can calculate positions many moves further ahead. Experience allows him to combine analysis with a “sense” of which move is best.
Your skill, knowledge and experience determine the potential effectiveness of your intuition. A weak chess player will never intuitively beat that computer. When enough good information is in your mind, it will go to work for you with or without your conscious participation, so feed it well. Also, watch for intuition to encourage it.
Sniff Roses or Rose Oil
This is relaxing for some people. The idea here is that sometimes you are too “wound up” for effective thinking. Relaxing can bring you back to a state where you can start again on a mental challenge, this time with more clarity. Again, I haven’t seen any studies done on this, but it seems safe enough to try.
Adjust Your Mind Power Beliefs
Believe you are smarter, and you’ll become smarter. For this, affirmations may work, but even better is seeing evidence. Make a note of your successes. Tell yourself, “Hey, that was really creative,” when you do something creative. When you have a good idea, make a note of it. Gather the evidence for your own mind power and you’ll start to experience more of it.

Gratitude and the Law of Attraction
Filed under: Articles;No CommentsGratitude or appreciation of what we already have is necessary to attract things we want. Every day when you wake up try to be thankful. Think about the good things in your live you should be thankful for.
Appreciate your job (even if you don’t like it). Feel gratitude for a place to live. If you have some food, some friends or anything else you can find to appreciate, appreciate it. A lot of people don’t have enough even basic things like food, water and their own place to live. It’s natural that you want more, that you want to improve your standard of life, but first you need to feel gratitude for what you already have.
If you start your day with feelings of gratitude you will feel good and you can keep that feeling all day. But you should also write down something like this: I am so happy and grateful that… and then write what you would like to have. For example: I am very happy and grateful that I make $1 million per year; that I have wonderful and loving wife, etc. Use the present tense, visualize the things you want, be grateful for them, and think about them as already yours. When you achieve them, you can add new things to your list. When you write about money, start first with amount you believe is possible and then increase the amount when you got the amount you’d written down. Be specific.
When you start doing as described above, at first you might feel strange that you are using present tense for the things you want to have in the future, but it’s important to train your mind and force your mind to think about them in present tense. After some time of playing such mental ping pong, your mind will obey and will help you to achieve the things you want.

Creating Happiness
Filed under: Articles;No CommentsDo you know someone who is terminally ill? If you do, you probably know someone who looks at life in a completely different way than the average person. When you are healthy and happy, you often take the small things for granted. Then, when you have a bad day or when you are feeling down, you tend to think that your problems are the worst problems in the world. You may even wallow in self-pity at some point.
The important thing to know is that you don’t have to live that way! There are many things you can do to learn how to create your own reality and live life in a happy and carefree way. I remember when my father was ill; he continued to make us laugh, kept working on his job and never complained. That was a wonderful lesson we all learned from my father.
The first thing you can learn from those that are ill, that it is important to be able to put things that happen to you into perspective. It’s not so much what happens to us, but how we look at them. The end result is usually how we view the situation.
Sure, you may have car troubles before work or you may not be able to lose those extra ten pounds you have put on since last summer. However, you are alive and you can get through anything!

Attract Whatever You Want in Life
Filed under: Articles;1 CommentIn life, you become what you believe you are. We’ve all heard the term, self-fulfilling prophecy. We talk about self-defeating attitudes, self-sabotage and courting failure. We believe that self development means erasing those negatives.
Somehow, in all the talk of negatives and defeatist attitudes, we neglect to look at the flip side of the personal self development equation, the Universal Law of Attraction. The law of abundance attraction is the base belief behind the power of positive thinking. The Law of Attraction simply states that we attract what we want in life. Stop and REALLY think about that for a moment.
We attract what we want in life.
According to this quantum law of attraction, what you have in your life right now is what you have invited into your life by focusing on it. But, you might be thinking, I WANT to be wealthy. If it’s true that we attract what we want in life, why is it that I’m struggling just to meet my bills? Let me tell you a story.
There is a salesman that I know. A few years ago, he was struggling towards a goal he had set for himself to achieve 100 sales a week for four straight weeks. It never failed, though. For three weeks, he would write 100 sales but no matter what he did, he could never hit his goal that fourth week. I was doing everything right, he told me. Every morning, I started off with a positive affirmation, I will write 100 sales this week. It SHOULD have worked. But that fourth week eluded me time after time. Then one morning, I stopped to really listen to myself. I will write 100 sales this week, my mind said, but I never can get that fourth week. I answered myself. I wasn’t focusing on the positive. I’m three-fourths of the way to my goal. I was seeing the negative. I decided right then and there that I WILL do it this week… and I did.
Abundance attraction begins with believing that good things will happen to you and for you, because you attract them. Like attracts like, the old proverb goes. We’ve all seen it in action.
There are people who appear to be blessed with every good thing that life has to offer. They have a beautiful home, a beautiful spouse, happiness galore and everything just seems to drop into their laps.
What if I told you that you could BE one of those lucky, blessed people? You can. All it takes is understanding the secret of really believing that good things will come to you.
Every Sunday morning when I was growing up, I woke to a radio program that ended with the words:
Something good is going to happen to you today.
When you understand the Law of Attraction, you’ll understand just how very powerful that one simple sentence is. By believing that Something Good is going to happen, you are taking the first steps to making it happen. Open yourself to believing in the good things that will come to you, and by the force of that Universal Law, attraction will begin to work in your favor.
Something good is going to happen to you today. Something good HAS happened to you today. All you need to do is open the door to let the good things in.

Stick to the Plan
Filed under: Articles;No CommentsHave you ever came up with a great idea and told someone else? What you usually hear is, if I were you, I wouldn’t do that or I don’t think you should try that, blah, blah, blah!
Unfortunately, most people are living their lives based on what others think or on what someone else wants them to do.
I started practicing the Law of Attraction at a fairly young age, because I realized that most of my experience up to that point was based on what others thought and I was attracting based on what they wanted for me.
No matter what, there will still be friends, family etc. that offer their opinions whether you want them or not. In their experience, they are perfectly comfortable with where you are. And I honestly think that most people are acting from their highest sense of love.
Sometimes moving forward in life, makes certain people feel that you won’t be part of their life anymore. And sometimes they are just acting from unresolved fear. But whatever the reasons are, you must stick to the plan!
I do think it’s important to make loved ones feel comfortable about what you are doing. If you can, include them in some of your plans.
If you’ve decided on a business you wanted to start, or pursing that long forgotten hobby, you must stay focused because you attract what you think about most, good or bad.
You can stick to the plan by practicing these simple techniques.
1. Keep your mind so focused on what you want, that there’s no room to focus on what others are thinking about you. Be specific.
2. Visualize your desire in as much detail as possible.
3. When doubt moves in, immediately change your thoughts to something positive
4. Spend some quite time alone meditating
5. Don’t forget to do something that makes you feel good. This really raises your energy and makes it easier to attract what you want.Everyone views the world differently and it’s up to you to create your own reality. Don’t get me wrong, learning from others has tremendous value. I’ve learned some of life’s greatest lessons from others. And sometimes the opinions of others may or may not be valid, but I think you’ll know the difference. The ultimate decision is still up to you.
Decide now what you should hold on to or let go of. You’re the best guide in your life.
Stick to the plan and remember your inner world will always reflect your outer world.

Goal Setting and Affirmations: How Forgiveness Fit…
Filed under: Articles;No CommentsAnyone wanting to invoke the Law of Attraction - where positive thoughts attract positive energy - will sometimes be confronted with a blockage. No matter how often you use your affirmations to attain a certain desire, or the depth of sincerity with which you are affirming, it just doesn’t seem to be working. It could be that you are obstructing the very energy that you need to manifest what you want, because you are holding on to anger and resentment. The solution is simple: learn to forgive.

By harboring negative feelings towards someone, whether they are living or deceased, you are maintaining a bond that keeps you connected to them. The energy that you are preserving is not only negative, but also stagnant. It will keep you from manifesting what you desire. Focusing on negativity will only get you more of the same. If you can manage to forgive, not only will this have a positive, uplifting effect on your well-being — the other person is also likely to experience the benefits.
A Gift to Yourself
Many people think that granting forgiveness is a sign of weakness, or a noble, altruistic act that you do for the other person, in which you condone what occurred in the past. In fact, you don’t have to reconcile to be able to forgive. Forgiveness is rather a “selfish” act, because it is something that you do for yourself. See it as a gift to yourself. By forgiving, you are breaking a negative tie, letting go of the past and allowing lightness and vibrancy into your life.

Anyone whom you feel anger, hurt and/or resentment towards is eligible to be forgiven. Start with the first person that pops into your mind while you’re reading this and work your way down your list — all the way to pre-school if you must! And don’t forget to forgive yourself. It will feel as if a huge load has been lifted off your shoulders, leaving you free to receive love, prosperity and abundance.
Some suggested affirmations: * I forgive you completely and freely. * I choose to be free and allow you to be free. * I freely forgive myself and others. * I let go of the past completely and release myself and you from it.
