healthy body affirmation cardsWhen you have “convenience” food bombarding you from every direction, it can be difficult to choose options that give your body the nourishment it needs. However, if you have daily reminders and effective tools at your disposal, you just may find that eating the right foods and feeding your body the best fuels becomes a lot easier. Of course, there will always be temptation, but when you equip yourself with anti-temptation tools, you will be able to quickly re-focus your mind on your greater goal of getting healthy!

Using Affirmations to Make the Healthy Food and Nutrition Choices

When everyone around you at the office is indulging in burgers, fries, and sugary drinks, it’s awfully tempting to join in, isn’t it? But what if you could stop that temptation in its tracks and actually choose to make a healthy choice? You don’t need me to tell you that fatty and sugary choices are not the kinds of food that your body needs – you need to tell yourself! It can be hard in moments of temptation to make the right choice, but with the help of positive affirmations, you can re-train your brain to replace the desire for junk food with healthy choices.

Affirmations can help you stick to your diet, say no to temptation, and eat nourishing and satisfying foods. How? By replacing the negative spiral of thoughts in your mind with powerful, positive ones. But first you have to believe that it is possible to gain control over your thirsts, desires, and cravings. The first step in making a lasting change in your life is to make the commitment to success. Are you committed? Do you believe that you can overcome your cravings? Once you’ve set your commitment in stone, you’re ready to learn the top 10 affirmations to get you through moments of weakness.

Top 10 Food and Nutrition Affirmations

Before reading the list below, you should know that affirmations are most successful when you internalize the saying and repeat it frequently. Whether you’re having a good or bad day, you need to be constantly repeating these positive statements in your mind. Temptation will strike when you least expect it, so it’s better to be prepared!

1. I can neutralize bad habits with good food, exercise, and healthy living.
2. I am proud to reach out to my support network instead of leaning on food for comfort.
3. I am losing weight for me because I love me.
4. I set aside time just for me.
5. My good health and productivity are the rewards for the nourishing foods I eat.
6. Weight gain happens over time, so my weight loss equally requires time, patience, and lifestyle changes.
7. I use self-care, not self-control.
8. The more I take care of myself, the better I feel.
9. I am firmly committed to staying active and healthy.
10. I deserve a healthy body and mind.

When you look at these food and nutrition affirmations, they may seem like ideals – behaviors and thoughts that you only wish you could have – but each time you reaffirm them by saying them aloud, you’re slowly changing your mindset. Over time, these ideals will become a reality through your thoughts and actions. But remember, you must first believe you can change. Once you make the commitment to your success, you will change your attitudes about food and you’ll be thankful you did!

How to Become Strong Leader

A leader is not born. A leader is created and the whole process starts inside the most dangerous place you’ll ever encounter – your own mind. How can you become a strong leader who inspires others, drives people toward excellence, holds people accountable, and instills a sense of trust? Learning what makes a great leader is your first step.

Here are some things you can do to become the leader you’ve always wanted to be:

1. Control yourself. Every great leader in history has had to become a master of self-discipline and willpower in order to stay focused on the big picture. If you don’t have a goal or the drive to achieve it, you can’t lead others to attain theirs.
* Follow through in everything you do. As challenging as it may be, you need to be disciplined enough to be where you need to be, when you need to be there, whether you want to or not. By being strong in your resolve and resisting temptation to give up, you are setting an example for others to live up to.
* Choose your emotional response to a situation carefully. Sometimes you’ll need to practice the art of silencing your inner thoughts when they’re not appropriate in order to set a positive example.

2. Project your goals. If the people you’re leading don’t completely understand the deeper meaning in their work, they won’t share your vision or work ethic. Every step of the way, communicate with your team to make sure they’re on the same wavelength and know what you expect of them.
* Get your team involved in the planning process and the implementation of your ideas. This gives everyone a greater sense of ownership toward the end result.

3. Praise highly and criticize constructively. The way you praise and criticize others can make all the difference in being able to lead effectively.
* Make sure you publicly praise the people who do excellent work for you. You’ll give the person a sense of accomplishment and the drive to do even better.
* When someone does something wrong, offer constructive criticism and do it privately. Suggest solutions on how they can improve and take the time to answer any questions. They’ll accept your input more willingly if they know it’s done to help and not to harm.

4. Know your people. You can’t truly lead a group of people unless you truly understand their hopes, dreams, struggles, pains, and goals. All the good intentions in the world mean nothing unless you have a true sense of the people you’re working with.
* Talk to your team and get to know them. Getting to know each other on a personal level will strengthen the bond between you. They’ll want to do better for you because you’re more than just a “boss.”
* Be their leader, first, and their friend second. You’re their leader and that means that you have to make difficult decisions from time to time. These decisions cannot be affected by personal relationships.

5. Make the hard call. There are times when you have to bite the bullet and make some unpleasant decisions. Firing, demoting, and holding people accountable for their actions can be very hard at times. As a leader, it’s your responsibility to handle these matters.

Regardless of where your leadership role takes you, believe that you can be a strong leader. Remember that in order to lead others, you must be disciplined yourself. After all, your actions will speak louder than anything you can say. In order to gain the respect of others, strive to lead by example in every area of your life. When you follow these simple guidelines, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a true leader!

Using Positive Self-Talk to Conquer Any Goal

divine dialogueDo you feel like you are always talking yourself out of success? As soon as you start to set goals for yourself, do you suddenly have nagging thoughts about how you aren’t up to the task or how you simply aren’t qualified to carry it through? If you have ever experienced either situation, you need to change the way you respond to your inner dialogue. Instead of obeying your negative commands, you can use positive self-talk to counter the negativity and overcome nearly all anxious thoughts.

Setting Goals and Sticking to Them with Positive Self-Talk

Are you initially filled with excitement when you first set goals for yourself? Are these thoughts then followed by self-doubt and self-defeating thoughts that stop you in your tracks before you even get started? It can be difficult to make the most of your life when you are constantly talking yourself out of being a success. It can be frustrating and discouraging to have these thoughts constantly plaguing you.

Many of us, in fact, don’t even realize we have them! All we know is that we don’t have the confidence to stick to our plans and reach our goals. But there’s another way! Positive self-talk is an effective way to set goals and ensure that you stick to them, even if you have never been able to do this before.

The way this works is that you decide what goal is important to you, and then you plan the logistics of how you are going to attain this goal. When self-doubt starts kicking in, you will respond with affirmations that prove your success without surrendering to the negative pressure. Since you’re reading this article, it’s clear that you’re no quitter and you’re certainly not a failure, so start believing in yourself!

Re-Programming your mind affirmations are essentially positive statements that re-program your mind for the positive. The moment you have a self-defeating thought you’d be able to counter the negative with a motivating statement. An example of a positive affirmation is: “I am worthy of great success,” or “I see myself in the winner’s circle.” What this does is replace negativity with thoughts that will help you move toward your goals instead of further away from them.

Positive self-talk is easier to implement than you might think. You may not be aware of the severity of the negative dialogue currently within your mind. However, once you begin with positive self-talk, you will suddenly realize that you are self-sabotaging the goals you set for yourself from the minute that you make them. This process can open your eyes to exactly how much this inner conversation has been interfering with your life. You’ll feel hopeful that you can now set goals and surpass them.

Through positive self-talk you will be able easily set long and short-term goals for yourself. And when you use affirmations, you’ll have accessible tools to help you push yourself further than ever before. Learning to quiet negativity with positive thoughts is a great move toward setting and attaining future goals with ease.

NLP A Powerful Personal Growth Tool?

Do you know that it is a normal process to grow and develop certain attitudes and habits by association? You should recognize this in yourself. It happens to all of us no matter what we look like, what we may own or where we live. It is common human development patterns at work in our lives.

You are not alone in all those negative thoughts and feelings that occur in your life because of other individuals or elements of the universal world we live in. We all experience that small nagging voice within that expresses disapproval of ourselves because of issues outside of us, those that we have no control over. As we grow we pick up bits and parts from the words and actions of others as well as the physical and metaphysical elements of the world we live in.

For instance, there are particular scents, tastes, images and inner voices and feelings that we all experience as neutral, positive or negative. These will vary in each of us and the things that are brought forth by their presence and timing in our lives. Some individuals there will experience positive influences and others it may be negative.

It is normal that all humans endure some type of outside conditioning which influences their inner workings of thoughts and actions. This is especially true of berating the self and drawing negative vibrations and influences which make what we do not want to become our reality.

The most influential means of bringing solutions into the various scenarios of our lives is by affirming a positive outlook and intent in order to actually create the world we want to live in while following our true purpose in life.

You can develop an acceptance of these things and bring whole alignment to your higher perspective and inner core by replacing the negative with the positive. You enable yourself to subtly change anything and everything about yourself, whether you want to lose weight, stop smoking, gain wisdom, reduce fear and nervousness or succeed in business.

NLP is most beneficial for aiding you in acceptance of the way things are and work past them by replacing negative thoughts and deeds with those thoughts and deeds which are most desirable by using various techniques such as anchoring positive emotions. It is also helpful for dealing with all those emotional, spiritual and physical concerns of childhood that may have been disturbing. These negative occurrences do influence us all even to death, unless we learn to progressively deal with them until they are acceptable as part of our growth pattern while in this state of being.

This process begins by recognizing that we are not alone when we replay all those negative nagging thoughts that are byproducts of someone or something outside ourselves that influence us. When it comes to powerful personal growth tools NLP has proved to be most beneficial for many individuals who are now experiencing a better sense of self worth and self confidence which is expressed by living the lifestyle they choose while following their true purpose in life.

When you are sick and tired of hearing the same old recordings of your mind and want to work to make the improvements that your inner being knows and you are considering what will make a difference for you, consider that NLP is a powerful personal growth tool.

Expand Yourself: Open Up to Your Possibilities

Sometimes we can get caught up in the day to day monotony of making a living – going through the motions each day while our relationships and our dreams, those things that give our lives true meaning, end up getting forgotten about, ignored, and pushed to the back burner. In this mode of living, time can really seem like our enemy – sometimes before we know it, years have passed us by – and we say -is this all there is?

The solution to this is to live consciously and get ourselves off autopilot. This article talks about becoming conscious and how we can put our foot down and get our lives back when we find that we’ve been off track.

Celebrate Now Instead of Later

celebrate nowA woman once decided to buy a lottery ticket with the last $1 that she had in her purse. And instead of simply going up to the machine, putting in her dollar and scratching off the ticket, she started by jumping up and down and yelling about how great it was that she won. She hadn’t bought the ticket and still celebrated her win. Sure, she looked like a fool to everyone else, but when she later bought a ticket and won $50, she realized that she was onto something. She was building an air of success around her.

Create positive energy

By celebrating your success before you actually have it, you are changing the energy that is around you. Adding more positive feelings to your life will draw in positive things toward you. So, by celebrating something that you want to happen, you are encouraging it to happen. And while you might not get positive results each time you do this, you will find that good things do happen to those who are grateful and excited to have them.

How you can celebrate now:

  1. Buy the size clothes you want to wear when you lose weight
  2. Keep a journal about how great your life is now that you’ve achieved a certain goal (even if you haven’t done it yet)
  3. Put up a sign of the exercise goals you want to reach with a note saying that you’re about to go beyond these goals

Positive energy breeds successYou need to find ways to bring in the energy of possibility into your dreams and your goals. Whether this means calling your friends and telling them that you ARE doing something or if it means that you keep a blog online of the way your life has changed since achieving a certain goal (even when you haven’t yet), you need to shift your mind into a Yes I can mode. And celebrating before you get started is more fun than waiting anyway.

Have a most outstanding day

Happy, Confident Expectation

The good things in life do not create happiness.  The good things in life arise from happiness.  If you wish to be happy, then be happy.

It really is as simple as that.  There’s no need to wait until you acquire this or achieve that. If you constantly place conditions on happiness, you’ll prevent yourself from experiencing it.  Go ahead and be happy now, today, this very moment.

Be happy for no reason at all, and you will find that you’re more effective, more productive, more creative and more fulfilled.

Indeed, happiness is a powerful state of mind that is available to you when you allow it to be.  The best reason to be happy is because you can.

Being genuinely happy is a powerful way to express your confidence and your expectation that positive things will happen.  And when you confidently expect the best, that’s precisely what you get.

Go ahead and be happy!

A Success Principle 95% of Self Growth Students Don’t Practice

success principlesHave you ever come up with a great idea and told someone else about it?  What you usually hear is, if I were you, I wouldn’t do that or I don’t think you should try that, blah, blah, blah!

Unfortunately, most people are living their lives based on what others think or on what someone else wants them to do.

I started practicing universal principles at a fairly young age, because I realized that most of my experience up to that point was based on what others thought and I was attracting based on what they wanted for me.

No matter what, there will still be friends, family etc. that offer their opinions whether you want them or not. In their experience, they are perfectly comfortable with where you are. And I honestly think that most people are acting from their highest sense of love.

Sometimes moving forward in life makes certain people feel that you won’t be part of their life anymore.  And sometimes they are just acting from unresolved fear.

But remember this:

Whatever the reasons are for the way people may be relating to you, you must stick to the plan!

I do think it’s important to make loved ones feel comfortable about what you are doing.  If you can, include them in some of your plans.

If you’ve decided on a business you wanted to start, or pursuing that long forgotten hobby, you must stay focused because you attract what you think about most, good or bad.

You can stick to the plan by practicing these simple techniques.

1. Keep your mind so focused on what you want, that there’s no room to focus on what others are thinking about you. Be specific.

2. Visualize your desire in as much detail as possible.

3. When doubt moves in, immediately change your thoughts to something positive.

4. Spend some quiet time alone meditating.

5. Don’t forget to do something that makes you feel good.  This really raises your energy and make manifesting easier.

Everyone views the world differently and it’s up to you to create your own reality.  Don’t get me wrong, learning from others has tremendous value.  I’ve learned some of life’s greatest lessons from others.  And sometimes the opinions of others may or may not be valid, but I think you’ll know the difference.  The ultimate decision is still up to you.

Decide now what you should hold on to or let go of.  You’re the best guide in your life.

Stick to the plan and remember:

Your inner world will always reflect your outer world.

Genuine Happiness Comes from Within

Sometimes, when the world just seems too heavy, you look around and find people who continue to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then you wonder, How come they always seem so happy?  How come they still can manage to laugh and play despite a busy stressful life?

So, how does one become genuinely happy?

The first step is to love yourself.  Loving yourself means to accept who you truly are.

Genuine happiness means being content and grateful in the moment.  When you are content with who you are and what you now have, that opens the door for more joy, peace and happiness.

Start looking within and stop waiting for things to be perfect before you can be happy.  If you can be grateful right now, you will find more peace, joy and happiness than you imagined.  If you look for external circumstances to make you feel joy, you will never be able to find genuine happiness.

I believe that life is about living on purpose.  You decide what kind of life you want…whether you want to feel joy or sadness.  It’s all up to you.  There are so many people waiting to have more money, waiting to get married, and whole list of other stuff before they can be happy.

Everyone has their own definition of happiness, but I can tell you that genuine happiness isn’t about driving the hottest car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest pay, or beating the sales quota.  Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life doesn’t always go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or the smartest.  In my experience, I found that the prize usually goes to the person with a great personality bubbling over with joy.

You don’t have to have the best of everything in this world. Its about doing and making the best out of every single thing right now. When you learn to accept and love yourself, you start to feel that sense of peace and joy.  For as long as you love and know how to love, you will receive love and happiness ten folds back.

Throw me that same question…how to become genuinely happy?  I’ll refer you to this quote- Most of us know that laughter is the best medicine to life’s aches and pain. But most of us don’t know that the best kind of laughter is laughter over self.
