Menu for an Upbeat Life

upbeat lifeJust like set menus from restaurants where different kinds of foods are served – from appetizers, to main dishes, to desserts – life also has its menu for an upbeat life. Different people have their own individual menu that makes them cheerful and optimistic. Find out what they are; they may help to keep your life meaningful, enjoyable, inspiring, and interesting. Consider the following:

Help the needy, the poor, the handicapped, the ailing, the broken-hearted, the homeless, the lost, and the environment. The list can go on. When you help the needy – in services, monetary value, or other forms (lending a shoulder to cry on or an understanding ear to listen to other people’s problems) – the returns are ten folds over. However, don’t expect anything in return. Just the contentment you experience in your heart is an incomparably satisfying feeling. Giving something wholeheartedly without expecting anything in return is divine. Imagine yourself as the person on the receiving end. You can’t wait to return the favor once you get the opportunity to do so.

Another way to enjoy life is to listen to music. Play your good old favorite songs and sing along. Sing your best. Sing carelessly or out of tune – whatever it takes to make your heart contented and whatever makes you laugh. Just hum the tune if you don’t remember the words. Sing until you laugh heartily. The idea is to cheer up. Do this in private with your close friends or relatives though. You don’t want to annoy your neighbors.

The sound of nature is also music. The sound of river flowing, the gust of wind on a tree branch, waves on the seashore, and birds chirping are as natural as nature can be, and the way music should be. The sound of nature can make you optimistic because it is a beautiful and serene sound.

Let’s face reality. Life has its share of troubles, disasters, and misfortunes. Bad news exists and it disturbs the mind. Totally ignoring it may not always be the answer to approach life in a realistic manner. However, you can always find ways to avoid being affected by it to maintain the dominance of life’s beauty.

A party without humor and laughter is a dull one. The same is true in real life. Fill your life with lots of humor and laughter to keep it upbeat. The more spontaneous a humorous situation is, the more natural it is, and the better it can liven up your spirits.

Look at the lessons that can be derived from misfortunes. Mistakes allow you to learn and see opportunities hidden behind adversities. Always find meaning from every event in your life. See through the shell game and value every lesson that you learn.

Impossible is Just a Word

Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn’t fantasized about being the one who hits the game-winning homer? Who hasn’t dreamed of being the homecoming queen? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?

Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that, dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic.

This is a sad turn of events in our life. Instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day just barely existing.

But you know what? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.

The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can’t do this. It’s too hard. It’s too impossible. No one can do this.

However, if everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment.

Remember that scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Unfortunately for the bumble, bee no one has told it so. So fly it does.

On the other hand, some people suffer from dreaming totally outrageous dreams and not acting on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.

If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream.

Try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down some goals in your life. Under one header, list down things you know you can do. Under another header, write the things you might be able to do. And under one more, list the things that seem impossible for you to do.

Now look at all the headers strive every day to accomplish the goals that are under things you know you can do. Check them when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads you might be able to do.

As of the items you wrote under things I could do are accomplished, you can move the goals that are under things that seem impossible for you to do to the list of things you might be able to do.

As you iterate through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish. And the impossible begin to seem possible after all.

You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is truly unrealistic.

Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.

On the other hand, if you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.

Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For one to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be had work and discipline. But take note that 1% has to be a think-big dream.

Ask any person that visits the gym frequently and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, no pain, no gain? That is as true as it can be.

So dream on, friend! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible.

Ambitious Dreams Bring Inspiration — Shooting For The Moon

Ambitious dreams bring inspiration. They’re the only kind that have the power to make you happy.

The world is full of people who’re afraid of reaching for their dreams in case they’re disappointed.

A lot of parents teach their children to be modest in their expectations. It’s understandable for them not to want their sons and daughters to be hurt, so they teach them to have “reasonable” ambitions — to aim for the things they know are well within their capabilities. That way, they’ll avoid the pain of failure, or the embarrassment of having other people know they’ve failed.

The trouble is, a “reasonable” ambition dooms you to a life of mediocrity.

Just getting by is not abundant living. Doing a job you don’t enjoy, solely because it pays the bills and is considered socially acceptable, is not a definition of success or happiness.

Suppressing your real ambitions, talents, dreams and wishes is a recipe for unendurable frustration — and over time the pain of that frustration will get worse, not better.

Your particular mixture of interests, talents, dreams and inspirations is unique. It’s not appeared before in human history, and it won’t again.

That means that YOU (however unlikely it might seem right now!) can achieve something no-one else has ever done before you — and if YOU don’t go for it, then no-one else can.

It might be years, or even centuries, before someone takes another route to make the same discoveries, to write the books, to sing the songs or sell the products that it lies within YOUR power to achieve — and till that happens, the whole world must do without them. What’s so very “reasonable” about that?

If this sounds far-fetched, think of Thomas Edison. Born in 1847, this was a man who in all his life had only three months’ formal education, but he planned to make a light-bulb that could offer bright, safe light in people’s houses. Most people laughed at him. After all, it wasn’t “reasonable”.

At first he couldn’t do it, but he wouldn’t give up. He couldn’t, because he had a big, ambitious dream that went a long way further yet.

Once people had electric lighting in their houses, they’d need power — and once they had the power, they could use it, too, for other things, like heating, cooking, cleaning… even entertainment. Once he had his light-bulb, he could change the world.

It’s said he tried 10,000 times to make a light-bulb. When someone asked him how he felt about his many failures he replied, “I haven’t failed. I’ve ruled out ways that don’t work, that’s all. Each try brings me closer to the one that will.”

Eventually, he was rewarded — and with his light-bulb in production, set to work on even more ambitious dreams. Just a couple of his successes led to the beginning of the record industry and cinema.

Edison was granted over 1,000 patents — more than anyone in history. To this day that record’s not been broken. He formed a company to develop his inventions, and became one of the richest men in America.

What’s important’s not just that he achieved the seemingly impossible, or even that he persevered despite 10,000 disappointments. What matters most is HOW he did it.

He had ambitious dreams that totally inspired him. They energized him. The knowledge of the benefits that he could bring the world, as well as to himself, fuelled his commitment even when the road was hard. He wasn’t “reasonable”.

If you want to reach your goals, it pays to be creatively UNreasonable.

Choose a dream that totally inspires YOU, one you can enjoy however hard the going gets. Write down exactly what you’re aiming to achieve, and how it can help others (the way to get the things you want’s to make sure other people get what THEY want, first — that’s the only way they’re going to pay you for your efforts).

Now list the steps you need to take to make that happen. Spend some time working on those tasks each day (you don’t need give your job up till you can afford to!), and watch the magic start to happen.

Above all, keep your outlook absolutely positive. Learn from your mistakes and adjust your plans accordingly, but remember the 10,000 light-bulbs and keep going.

See yourself always as on your way to great success. Thomas Edison succeeded — so can you. The way to be quite certain that you’ll fail is not to try.

Shoot for the moon — for even if you miss, you’ll reach the stars.

Starting Your Journey to Get Inpired

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to be born winners? You know the ones. Not only do they get what they want, but they make it look easy, don’t they? No matter what happens, everything always seems to be in their favor!

These people have learned how to use the power within themselves to get whatever they want.

They learn how to get inspired. And you can too!

I remember a recording back in the late 70’s called The Tin Man. There was a verse in the record that always made me curious… “Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man that he didn’t already have”.

After pondering the lyrics, I finally realized it’s meaning. The Tin Man already had what he needed…he just didn’t realize it! He only needed to be shown that he already had a heart of gold and that he wasn’t just an empty, rusty piece of tin. He needed inspiration!

Just like the Tin Man, most people don’t realize they have the power within themselves to live a happy prosperous life, free from fear, anxiety, worry, financial problems and the list goes on.

I will share with you information I’ve learned over the years that will teach you how to use the unique power within yourself to get whatever you desire.

Hopefully as we move foward , you will get inspired and find that your life will be transformed into a naturally abundant and fulfilling experience.

Start your Journey with me and get the advanced formula for happiness, abundance and inspiration…

All the gurus tell us to get rid of old habits and thoughts. That’s easier said than done!

It’s much easier to replace a negative emotion or thought. If you replace the negative thoughts and emotions enough with some of the techniques I’ve listed below, they will simply fade away into their
native nothingness.

So let’s start with creating your day…

  • Be grateful for everything in your life no matter how bad you feel your life is right now. This is very powerful and opens up the universe to bless you immensely.
  • Everytime a bad thought enters your mind, replace it with something that makes you feel good. Even scientist understand now that feelings have a lot to do with what you create for yourself.
  • Take some time for yourself to meditate reflecting only on that which makes you feel good.
  • Do some affirmations. When affirming, make sure it is in the present tense as if you already have it. This will help you get inspired!
  • Make sure you set goals. You must take ACTION for any of this to have an impact on your life.

I have lots more to share with you, but as you move foward amazing things will start to happen!
